Nvidia CEO: 2026 Will Be a Huge Year for AI Chips
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang told his business partners in Taiwan that 2026 will be a “huge year” for the chip industry and the artificial intelligence sector.
According to CNBC, the founder of Nvidia invited top executives from Taiwan’s technology sector to a dinner in Taipei on Saturday evening. Taiwanese media outlets described the event as a “trillion-dollar banquet” due to the high combined net worth of the business leaders in attendance, according to the Taiwanese newspaper UDN. The attendees represented companies within Nvidia’s supply chain.
Huang told reporters that he has high hopes for his business partners in Taiwan, describing 2026 as a “huge year,” according to the Taiwanese newspaper Liberty Times.
The dinner guest list included C.C. Wei, chairman of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC); Young Liu, chairman of Foxconn Technology; and Barry Lam, chairman of Quanta Computer.
Other top executives represented Acer, Asustec, MediaTek, Wistron, Infintech, and about 20 other prominent technology companies in the country. Huang also attended a separate dinner on Sunday with the leadership of TSMC.
